The 2015 North American International Auto Show was where the 2016 BMW 6 Series of Coupes, Gran Coupes and Convertibles made their debut. We’re excited about each of these vehicles since they combine sporty performance & handling with the sleek design & elegance you’d expect from a BMW. That’s why we wanted to dive right into what you can expect from the latest BMW 6 Series.

What’s New

When you first see the 2016 BMW 6 Series at our Bridgewater NJ dealership location, you’ll notice some design differences. Up front, you’ll find that the kidney bar count in the grille has been reduced to 9.

The contours of the kidney bars, along with a new front apron, updated design to the Adaptive Full-LED headlights & chrome (Convertible) or high-gloss black (Coupe/Gran Coupe) decorative fog light trim make for a sportier 6 Series appearance.

The profile shows off improved design cues including newly styled exterior mirrors with turn signal indicators for all models and a Gran Coupe-exclusive black-aluminum model badge & side window surrounds. That’ll definitely turn heads on 22, 287 and 78 for sure.

A 10-mm larger tailpipe and redesigned 20” multi-spoke wheels are also included to round out the sleek 6 Series package. All of these features look good in every color available, including these new ones for the 2016 model year:

• Mediterranean Blue Metallic
• Melbourne Red Metallic

If you upgrade to BMW Individual, you could get Frozen Brilliant White matt shade to make your car look like it’s covered by ice. This results in the muscular contours of your BMW 6 Series to be prominent. How appropriate for our Central Jersey winters.

The interior of the 2016 BMW 6 Series has also been updated for a more sporty yet luxurious feel. Fineline Brown wood trim is available as an option, while you can get Cognac/Black bi-color Nappa leather can complement that trim if you opt for the Black Accent Package.

No matter which model you choose, you’ll love all of the luxuries inside. These include the latest navigation system, heated power front seats with memory capability (great for the cold), enhanced Bluetooth and more.
